Welcome to the AMVETS, Department of Maryland web site. I'm pleased that you visited our site and glad that you have shown an interest in AMVETS. Please feel free to browse these pages and learn more about the wonderful work being done on behalf of our veterans across the State.

I am proud to be serving as this year's Commander for the Department of Maryland. I hope to be able to help make this organization one which continues to be respected throughout the Veterans community. If you are an active member, thank you for all of your hard work. It is paying great dividends for our veterans and our communities. If you are a member but have not yet gotten involved in your Post activities, I urge you to contact them and find out how you can best serve. BG James Adkins, Maryland Adjutant General and former Secretary of Veterans Affairs has been selected as the next PNC A. Leo Anderson Memorial Freestate Award Winner. (See BG Adkins biography)
